Welcome

US President Obama's rise to power has created a state of hope that transcends boundaries and borders. Despite economic turmoil, 'change' is in the air and all manner of dreams suddenly seem possible.

We asked artists: what's your revolution?
Watch what they came up with all month on the TTC.

Participating artists: Mark Clintberg, FASTWÜRMS, Annette Mangaard, John Marriott, Darren O'Donnell, Christie Pearson, Georgette Peters, Martin Reis, Chrysanne Stathacos, Ho Tam, Carolyn Tripp, and 4 selections from the 'This Day of Change' book project by COURRiER Japon magazine.

Quiet or riotous, playful or radical, personal or far-reaching - revolutions happen on every scale, everyday, when changes take place in the ways we think and behave. This May artists will be reaching out to the commuting public, engaging them with revolutionary ideas, enlightened calls to action, and artistic responses to the idea of inciting revolt in Torontonians.

The schedule of when each project is screening during the month is posted on our Schedule page.

The works will also be available for viewing on the Schedule page once they've screened on the TTC, so you can watch the ones you loved again, or catch the ones you missed.

Each project will play on the entire network of Onestop TTC screens, cycling every 10 minutes all day.

Contacting Toronto is an annual, open-call photography exhibition on the Onestop network of over 270 TTC screens. It offers artists and photographers an audience of 1.6 million people a day in over 50 stations.

What's Your Revolution? is curated by Sharon Switzer and co-produced by Onestop Media Group and Art for Commuters.

Thank you to our government funder the Ontario Arts Council.
